The wood cradle gives the art panels edge a substantial presence.  The cradled back support acts as a brace.  It is aligned with the edge of the painting surface and it is perfectly flush with all sides of the painting support.  The panel can be framed or left unframed either natural or painted.  The cradled art panel is a total one inch thick.  It is engineered for perfect balance.  The same core material for the cradled back is used for the face of the artist panel.  This is done to insure complete compatibility and balance for all atmospheric conditions.
