has no wood grain. It is made using a process that combines pure wood from
Douglas Fir trees with urethane binders, producing a linen mounted panel that is double
refined with no oils or resins.
Oil Primed Linen
Art Panels are not mounted to tempered masonite or hardboard.
Art Boards™

substrate and support for the archivally mounted Oil Primed Belgium Linen.
It is the perfect surface for painting with oils.
Claessens Double Oil Primed Belgium Linen
is mounted to
Art Boards™
art panels with a
reversible archival conservators' adhesive. The adhesive
forms a complete archival waterproof barrier between the linen and the
panel.
The mounting of Claessens #13
Belgian Linen is archival and reversible.
The reversible conservators adhesive allows the linen to be removed
at any time in the future if ever needed. The linen is sized with
zinc white and linseed oil and primed
with zinc-white and linseed oil and then coated with titanium white. The
linen art board has recessed slots in the back to hang
paintings in either direction. Oil primed linen painting panels can be hung framed or
unframed.
