The photo shows the handsome solid edge and the recessed dovetail hanging slot on the back of the watercolor panel. The hanging slot also provides an anchor for the Art Boards Wood Easel back. The Easel Back is a triangular hardwood maple support, that positively engages in to the dovetail hanging slot.
